SUN POWER YOGA

Sun Power Yoga is a blend of different styles:

- dynamic hatha for alignment
- Sivananda yoga for subtle mind and breath work
- ashtanga vinyasa for heat, flexibility and stamina

The class uses traditional Sivananda sun salutations and adapted sun salutations which incorporate traditional postures, flowing through use of vinyasa. The classes can vary every week and are thus not as rigid in format as hot yoga or ashtanga.

It is a style which is easier to learn as a beginner than say, Ashtanga, because it is more easily adapted and modified for those whose bodies are less flexible or strong. However, once mastered it can be as demanding and beneficial.

This style of yoga was developed by Ann-Marie Newland of Sun Power Yoga, with over 30 years of teaching experience, is one of the foremost teacher trainers in the UK and abroad.
